Hello and Namaste Poland

Hello!
Namaste!
Witaj!

Hello everybody, I am starting this blog series about Poland, my experience with Poland, Polish language and Polish people.

It all started with something personal. I will be very honest that 2 years ago I didn't had much idea about Poland or Polish people at all (except the fact that Madame Marie curie and Nicolaus Copernicus were from Poland). As an Indian student with science background we were taught about history of world war in school with the point of view and effect on Indian subcontinent and not much was discussed in detail. As any normal human being will be, I too was moved till the depth of my soul, knowing and learning about the events Poland went through the course of history.

In past 2 years I got to know, Poland is not only about WW, it has much more to it. Poland is full of interesting things, its culture is rich, people are warm and welcoming, winters are cold, rivers are serene, cities are thriving and Poland, Poland is making its firm place in my heart.

I will keep updating this blog, with information that I have gained over time and one that I will get in future. Fun facts and figures that I am sure will surprise you.

As a song of Sting goes,
"Oh, I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York"

No no no!
I am not English man in New York, I am Indian man in Krakow.

Join me on my journey of finding Poland from eyes of an Indian.
